Jaden’s Here! (Northern Virginia Baby and Family Photographer)

I knew it would happen when we left for vacation… Jaden arrived! And obviously he was perfect, all 6lbs and 15oz of him There’s a lot of pictures for this one, so I’ll try to stick to less words.

Keri (Northern Virginia Maternity Photographer)

Back in early May, before we left for Portland, my very best friend was expecting her second kiddo, a little boy (insert squeals of excitement!). So we got together to show off that perfect, baby boy belly of hers

I love Keri’s laugh, so contagious!

She also has a pretty cool husband and awesome daughter

Siblings (Northern Virginia Family Photographer)

What better way to start off a post than with some cute baby feet?

Seriously, ok… now that’s out of my system! Here we have Emilee and Eric, two cuties from a wonderful lady that I knew from church. I had such fun with these two, Emilee is about the same age as my oldest and Eric is just about the same age as my youngest! It’s always fun seeing kids of the same age as my kids.

I can’t get over his face here… He was upset about still being on the floor and not being picked up, but come on! He is too cute!

And how precious is this smile?

Time for bubbles! Yay!

Family Portraits (Northern Virginia Photographer)

I have known Cathy since my senior year in college. She was my adviser for my internship in Social Work. The place I interned at was the Adoption Center of Washington, families could adopt children from Vietnam, China, and Russia (while I was there, things have since changed in some countries). Cathy took such good care of me, and always made sure I was learning. It was a great experience being able to work with her.

She contacted me a while ago about doing some pictures of her and her son, Sean. So we were finally able to meet up at Frying Pan Farm, but sadly the area I wanted to take pictures in was closed… But we found a cool fence, some cows and pigs, and made do
Cathy’s son, Sean, I hadn’t seen since he was probably 10, and now he’s like 28 and 15 feet tall. He is such a wonderful young man! He was so nice, went with the flow, and seemed to really enjoy himself! I realized going into this session that I have never taken pictures of teen boys. I take pictures of little kids all the time and know tricks on how to get them to laugh or look at the camera, but had no idea what to do with a teenage boy! But Sean was great, I need to take him along with me on photo sessions, he was so much fun!
