Valentines Day (Northern Virginia Family Photographer)

4 March 2011

About a month ago I offered up a few spots for some family Valentines day pictures! I had them all ready to go for blogging before Valentines day, but then realized I couldn’t post them without ruining the surprise. And then I forgot. So here you are today :)

With my first family, we met up at Frying Pan Park. It was such a beautiful scene there with the red barns and the white snow. But it was SO COLD! We didn’t last very long, but the boys did give me some cute pictures!

I love how he is holding his feet here,

One of my favorites from the day:

Another favorite:

My other session was at the family’s house. Now normally shooting in a house can be difficult for many reasons. Lack of lighting, clutter, etc… this house was great though! We shot upstairs in the bedrooms, which, by the way, are far cuter than any bedroom I’ve ever lived in! The rooms were beautiful and the lighting was great as well! I love the series of the three of them on mom and dad’s bed. The duvet cover is just gorgeous and I totally want the same one for our room!

Snuggles on the bed are always wonderful:

Love :)

Best props ever!

Seriously, how cute is she?!

I can’t wait for next year to offer this kind of thing again, hopefully I’ll be able to take on more families. It’s been hard with a new baby attached to my person at any given moment of the day! Especially when said baby still won’t take a bottle. Good times.

Next up, spring pictures! The weather is starting to get warmer (well, somewhat!), so if anyone is interested in having some beautiful, relaxed portraits that capture their family let me know soon! We’ll start filling up the calendar :)
